        January 1, 2018, all container cargo must hit the tray!

        According to the Nigerian Ministry of Finance and the latest decision by the Customs and Excise Department, the goods exported to Nigeria from January 1, 2018 must be required on the pallet! (By standard departure day: barge or inland transport of goods by barge on the date of shipment) Nigerian Finance Minister Kemi Adeosun said the move will be conducive to Nigeria's inspection of imported goods, the country is currently promoting the port and Border installation inspection scanner project to speed up the inspection of goods.

        Ship companies have issued a notice that all shippers should be kept in close contact with their consignees in Nigeria and loaded according to the consignee's instructions. If unpaid goods are loaded after January 1, 2018, the shipper and consignee may face sanctions that include a penalty or being required to re-export the goods.
